Lapis Surabaya is one of Indonesian famous cakes. People like to have this on most occassions, from birthdays to weddings.
Our Lapis Surabaya is modified a little bit to get the desired standard height (10cm). Instead of 3 layers of yellow-chocolate-yellow, we add another chocolate.
With the filling, traditionally, people use Strawberry/Raspberry jam in between the layers. We prefer to use Vanilla Swiss Meringue Buttercream by itself or in combination with jam to hold the body.
