Mandarin Cake is one of Indonesian famous cake. Almost similar with Lapis Surabaya cake. The difference is Mandarin Cake consists of 2 layers: Yellow & Brown cake, where Lapis Surabaya consists of 3 layers: yellow, brown & yellow.

This Mandarin Keju/Mandarin Cheese cake that I make is just another variation of the normal Mandarin cake. Instead of having 2 different flavours, this one is just 1 flavour & 1 colour.

The original recipe was given by a good friend of mine in Indonesia & I want to give her the credit for that.

If you are a cheese lover, you should try this.

Our version comes with cheese chunk at the bottom.Filled with Vanilla buttercream between the layers as well as the outer part. The whole cake is covered with shredded cheese & topped with some glazed cherries.

Have this chilled before munching, we guarantee the cake just melts in your mouth. You will get a sensation of sweetness & cheesiness at the same time.
