Michelle & Jason get married on 18th August, the same date I got married 6 years ago
They are lovely Chinese couple. Michelle is such a green tea lover & Jason is a chocolate fan.
This cake is inspired by a Wedding Cake magazine picture. The original cake was 3 tiers with stencils decoration & white flowers. Michelle prefers to have roses instead & 2 tiers to feed 50.
The top tier is Chocolate Mud with Dark Chocolate Ganache. The bottom tier is a very strong Green Tea Cake layered with Azuki Beans Paste & covered with Green Tea Ganache.
I really enjoyed making this cake. The roses, the colour, the stenciling…just beautiful. In fact, my wedding cake was this colour too. I had a romantic beach theme party. Honestly, it is my first time stenciling. It was a challenge to do it, though I’d watched stenciling cake videos many times, it wasn’t as simple as I thought. Thank God for wisdom & my persistent husband. He drove me to excel
Now that I already know the stenciling technique, I enjoy it more for next time.
